I just came back from Frankfurt where I met my good friend Jochen Leinberger, we had a good chat about how to improve the project's page and make it easier for people to interact with it. Among the remarks from Jochen were:
- 1. Make it easier for visitors to understand the latest developments of the project, as well as which topics need direct action to move the project forward. For example, work with cases and sub-cases, to better communicate which has to be done and when.
- 2. Reduce the steps it takes for a developer to change or contribute to the project. Maybe put a WIKI-like edit link to each content.
- 3. Write a clear technical requirements list, and the more defined feature list.(today we are using a product backlog, wish needs to be refined)
- 4. Work with issue trackers to track problems and monitor progress (these would work great with Cases and Sub-cases of problems)
- It was a great talk and I agree with him that these points need to be improved. Other suggestions are welcomed.
