Here is a wiki-list of the technical requirements of the electric moped we are trying to develop the frame for.

1. Usage scenario

The e.Moped shall serve as a super light weight vehicle for in the city, to cover distances on aprox. 20 Km each time. It would be great to achieve a ride range of up to 70 Km. 

At first, there shall be no registration needed for riding an e.Moped, for that to happen, power must be limited to a maximum speed of 45 Km/h depending on the country.

2. Power and Energy consumption

Desired Motor Power: 1000 Watt to 2000 Watt

Energy Consumption: Not Analysed yet

3. Ergonomics

Taking in consideration the Usage Scenario of a light city motorcycle, the measurements of the e.Moped frame shall be something between a mountain bike and a MX motorcycle. That will ensure a light weight frame for a comfortable ride.

A first sketch was made to help us define the measurements of version 1 of the e.Moped frame:

I just came back from Frankfurt where I met my good friend Jochen Leinberger, we had a good chat about how to improve the project's page and make it easier for people to interact with it. Among the remarks from Jochen were:

1. Make it easier for visitors to understand the latest developments of the project, as well as which topics need direct action to move the project forward. For example, work with cases and sub-cases, to better communicate which has to be done and when.

2. Reduce the steps it takes for a developer to change or contribute to the project. Maybe put a WIKI-like edit link to each content.

3. Write a clear technical requirements list, and the more defined feature list.(today we are using a product backlog, wish needs to be refined)

4. Work with issue trackers to track problems and monitor progress (these would work great with Cases and Sub-cases of problems)

It was a great talk and I agree with him that these points need to be improved. Other suggestions are welcomed.

As consumption grows, much of our already limited natural resources become more and more endangered. The amount of waste generated mainly in developed economies is a problem to be tackled if we ought to try to solve the environment crisis. By giving waste a new life under the soul of a new product, we can contribute to a greener future for our planet.
